What to do if you have a warrant for your arrest
Finding out you have a warrant out for your arrest can be intimidating, especially if you have never had one before. For some people, their first instinct would be to immediately turn themselves in, and for others it could be to avoid it at all costs.
If you discover that you have a warrant out for your arrest, we advise calling our offices immediately. From there we can request the court to quash the warrant. If we are successful in quashing it, we will set up a time for you to appear in court, so you and our office have time to fully prepare for your first appearance. Additionally, this will help to alleviate stress for you as you do not have to worry about being arrested every day before your court appearance.
If we are unsuccessful in getting the warrant quashed, we will work with you to set up a time to turn yourself in when we can have an attorney with you, fully prepared to represent you. Having an attorney who is already up to speed on any allegations made against you before you are taken into custody can be invaluable to your case and can also assist in you spending as little time as possible in custody before you are released on bail.
