Randall Shimpach is an experienced trial attorney and passionate advocate for his clients. He is a former assistant public defender with the Hennepin County Public Defender's Office in Minneapolis. As a public defender, he worked in adult criminal court for five years, handling everything from misdemeanors to serious felonies. Randall tried numerous cases to jury verdict and was able to get many cases dismissed on constitutional grounds prior to trial.

Randall attended the University of Minnesota Law School, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. During law school, he worked in the legal department at the Metropolitan Airports Commission. Since law school, Randall has clerked for the district court in the Tenth Judicial District, where he did legal research and drafted orders in criminal and civil matters. Randall has also clerked for the Minnesota Court of Appeals, where he worked primarily on criminal cases and gained a thorough understanding of the appellate process.

Randall has also been an adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law. Prior to joining Groshek Law, P.A., Randall was in private practice representing individuals in personal-injury cases.
