After traveling the world, Lucas graduated from the College of St. Catherine with a degree in International Relations in 2006.  After working as a legal assistant for approximately 4 years, Lucas pursued her law degree. 

During law school, Lucas clerked as a certified student attorney for the offices of the Chisago County Attorney and the Hennepin County Attorney.  Lucas prosecuted child protection and juvenile delinquency cases.  Lucas also clerked for Moss & Barnett, P.A. doing exclusively family law.  Lucas graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 2011.

Since graduation, Lucas has been in private practice.  Prior to joining Groshek Law, P.A. in 2016, Lucas worked for two law firms in the Twin Cities.  Lucas practices in the areas of juvenile law, family law, criminal defense and administrative law.  Lucas has litigated many complex cases with favorable outcomes for her clients.  Lucas passionately advocates for results that achieve her client's short and long-term goals.
